In 1902 John Jaques III invented the revolutionary game
of 'Gossima', known also as 'Ping-Pong' and which was later
renamed 'Table Tennis'. This version of lawn tennis, played
on a table, soared in popularity nationwide and saw the
first championships grow worldwide, with China playing it
as a national sport. In the past one hundred years, Jaques
have become renowned for table tennis equipment, with a
range of tables used at world championships, youth clubs,
