The "Croquet Association Set" has been developed in collaboration with, and is endorsed by, the Croquet Association in London. It contains competition mallets made to the exact specifications of World Champion player Joe Hogan. The mallets have an overall length of 36” and weigh 3lb. The balls are solid reinforced composite balls, meeting regulation specifications for size, weight and rebound. Steel hoops, powder coated to prevent rusting. The Hurlingham set is a superbly made traditional style croquet set with regulation balls and hoops/wickets. The only difference between the Association set and the Hurlingham set is the mallets. They have cylindrical brass bound heads with an inlaid sighting line. The mallets have an overall length of 36” and weigh an average of 2lb.12oz. The “Garden” croquet set is ideal for home garden croquet with regulation sized balls and hoops. Although the mallets do not include the brass rings or sighting lines provided with the Hurlingham set, they are made from the same timber.
